Linda (Knight) Yarbrough, a long-time metroplex advertising/media executive, has launched a new venture, Parker County East.com. With the premiere issue just released on-line, this Internet magazine (e-zine) will serve the areas of Aledo, The Annettas, Willow Park and Hudson Oaks. The e-zine’s mission is to provide a strong resource for residents, businesses, and newcomers while promoting business development within the East Parker County community.

Features include Biz Buzz, Real Estate Corner, Community Calendar, Classified Connections, and an interactive Bulletin Board. The website also features a Links page providing extensive resources to local and national sites. According to Yarbrough, "residents and those interested in our area have seen a need for more market-based information on the Internet. This electronic-publication will meet the needs of the community and offer clients a new and powerful entry to the Internet." Focused on the growth of this area, Parker County East.com will have a dominant real estate section including featured homes, builders and developers. The e-zine will be widely distributed to major search engines.

Yarbrough, a resident of Willow Park, operates a marketing/advertising firm, The Media Mix, which recently expanded to include a virtual Web Design Group. The Media Mix serves clients on a local, regional and national level in all forms of media. Since moving to East Parker County, Yarbrough also raises donkeys, llamas, and pygmy goats at her 2x2 Farm.

A graduate of Mineral Wells High School, Yarbrough began her career at The Mineral Wells Index. A 25-year veteran in the media field, her background includes strategic marketing, advertising, and media/planning buying. Clients have included: Frito-Lay, Borden Ice Cream, Harris Methodist Hospital, The Fort Worth Zoo, Tandy/Radio Shack, Pro-Cuts Hair Care Centers and Texas Dairy Queens. Yarbrough also has an extensive Real Estate background, licensed since 1975.

While Yarbrough designed the website, Hub McNett, Web Design Director, offered technical support and designed the database-driven specialty pages including the interactive Bulletin Board and Community Calendar.
